How did you hear about the SCRC and when did you join?
Heard about SCRC from a waitress whose husband is John Murphy. Joined in April 2006.

2 years with this bike; 3 years in my younger "foolish" days.

Yes, the basic one but I want to take the Advanced Class with my bike.

What was your first bike?
Honda 90cc

How many bikes have you owned?

Why do you ride?
Because it's my "therapy" -- better than Prozac. No really, I love the feeling of the horsepower, the sound of the Harley, and the freedom and wind in my face.

Have you ridden with an organized group before?
No, SCRC is my first and I'm really glad to meet such friendly riders and make new friends.

What modifications have you done to your bike?
Too many to list but here's a few -- more chrome; Live to Ride, Ride to Live Eagles in various places; saddle bags; front pegs; added "something" to the clutch so I can could squeeze it easier; front crash bar; a "Get Over It -- Girls Ride Too" license plate holder; different handlebars.

What accessories do you want to add to your bike?
More Live to Ride, Ride to Live Eagles; new footpegs; hard saddle bags and extra bag for sissy bar.

What is your dream bike?
2006 Heritage Softail Classic

What kind of riding do you like to do — straight-aways or twisties?
Both, but prefer straight-aways and then mild twisties.

If you have a nickname, how did you get it? Tell the truth!
Just picked it out myself. Used to be Short & Sassy on the CB long time ago. Bet you can't figure out why!

What is your favorite riding route?
Any of the country back roads of Loudoun and Clarke County -- Rt. 9, Snickersville Road, Rt. 7, love riding back roads around Purcellville, Round Hill, Hillsboro, Philomont, Bluemont, and Pine Grove.

Do you ride your bike to work?
No, haven't yet.

What is the fastest you’ve ridden?
I've only gotten up to 75 mph.

What is your favorite time of year to ride?
Spring is first, then Summer, but also like the Fall and foliage. I'm a fair weather rider. Go ahead, you can harass me.

Have you ever been down? If so, how were you hurt and what did you learn from the incident?
Not on my Harley, but many times on the Honda 90 trail bike, even have a few scares to prove it. Hope I never experience going down on the Harley.

Have you ever done an "Iron Butt" ride?
No.

If not, what is the furthest you’ve ridden?
235 miles.

What was the worst weather in which you’ve ridden?
Cold, no rain yet. Been trying to avoid that.

Do you know how to work on your bike?
Heck no, that's why I need a man around. Interested?

What is your favorite road song?
Have many of them but no one favorite. Anything from the 70's and 80's.

What was your most adventurous ride?
The Leesburg Police Poker Run to Gettysburg, PA.

What rallies or events do you like to attend?
Rolling Thunder, Charity Rides, Poker Runs. Want to do the Thunder Runway this year.

Is there someone who rides "two-up" with you?
No, my son won't get on the back of my Harley. Something about a boy sitting behind his mom (a woman no less). Geez!

Off the cuff from...HarleyGirl
Just want to say thank you for choosing me as the featured member for July 2006 especially being such a new member. I want to meet everyone so please introduce yourself to me. Just don't expect me to remember everyone's names at first though. I look forward to future rides, Chapter meetings, and the socials. Hope everyone enjoys their summer on their bikes and be safe! Sher.
