How did you hear about the SCRC and when did you join?
Was returning from Lowe's Hardware and saw meeting at Candlewood Suites. Was invited to ride in Rolling Thunder the next day.

How long have you been riding?
Since 1965 with a hiatus of 1975 to 2005 (raising 4 children - no extra money)

Have you ever taken a motorcycle safety course?
No

Yamaha C50

Six (6)

Why do you ride?
Mental Health

Have you ridden with an organized group before?
No

Garmin GPS and Heated clothing

None at this time

What I own now

What kind of riding do you like to do — straight-aways or twisties?
Usually straight aways with some twisties thrown in.

What is your favorite riding route?
In the mountains - last trip to West Virginia was great!

Do you ride your bike to work?
No

What is the fastest you’ve ridden?
80 MPH

What is your favorite time of year to ride?
All year except for mid winter.

Have you ever been down? If so, how were you hurt and what did you learn from the incident?
Yes - in 1968 - lost part of kneecap. I learned that trying to outrun the police is not a good idea.

Have you ever done an "Iron Butt" ride?
No.

What was the worst weather in which you’ve ridden?
Summer Squall - the combination of wind, rain and darkness had me really concerned and couldn't pull over.

Do you know how to work on your bike?
Yes - but don't like taking time to do so.

What is your favorite road song?
None - silence and the wind is the best song that I listen to.

What was your most adventurous ride?
Most rides have been vanilla - am looking forward to having one in the next year.

What rallies or events do you like to attend?
Rolling Thunder and Rattle the Runway.

Is there someone who rides "two-up" with you?
Yes - favorite partner is Donna.
