How did you hear about the SCRC and when did you join?
From that rat bastard Chad / October, I think.

How long have you been riding?
Consistently since 1998 / On my own, since 2003.

Have you ever taken a motorcycle safety course?
YES!

What was your first bike?
2004 Victory Vegas

How many bikes have you owned?
3, I also owned a Harley Lowrider.

Why do you ride?
It's beats going to church.

Have you ridden with an organized group before?
Define organized...

What modifications have you done to your bike?
The usual, stage 1

What accessories do you want to add to your bike?
The 2004 is already decorated...the 2012 NEEDS stage 1 and pipes...maybe different mirrors? Otherwise, I like it the way it is.

What is your dream bike?
I've got them...maybe add an Indian to the family now that Polaris owns them.

What kind of riding do you like to do — straight-aways or twisties?
Prefer twisties, but I'll take any miles on the bikes I can get.

What is your favorite riding route?
I don't have a favorite...but if I had to pick, the one I just did last August/September that went up into Canada. not one that will likely be repeated...for a repeat, I've got a standby that's a good 5-6 hour ride that takes me thru the George Washington national forest (?), Luray, Shenandoah, Strausburg, Winchester and such...the long route is up to New River Gorge...I'd love to get an overnighter set up and a group to go white water rafting.

Do you ride your bike to work?
Not at my last job, needed the car since it was like my office....at the new job, I will ride every day.

What is the fastest you’ve ridden?
110...in km? 85...

What is your favorite time of year to ride?
Definitely spring and fall. I HATE summer and can't stand being sweaty in gear.

Have you ever been down? If so, how were you hurt and what did you learn from the incident?
Not down...but dropped it. while wearing a pink sweater. in the middle of and intersection. in the middle of downtown Leesburg.

Have you ever done an "Iron Butt" ride?
Not yet, but there is the 1,000 miler and the 1,500 miler route already planned for June / July of this year.

If not, what is the furthest you’ve ridden?
Place or miles...place - Newfoundland Canada. Miles in a day...631.

What was the worst weather in which you’ve ridden?
Thunderstorms, lightning, hail, winds, green clouds.

Do you know how to work on your bike?
Ummmm...NO. My mechanic does though...I don't wash them either.

What is your favorite road song?
In the car or on the bike??? I like the wind in my ears, I don't listen to music on the bike.

What was your most adventurous ride?
Every ride is an adventure! There have been 2 GREAT ones with a 3rd plan in the works. Two summers ago, we did a 'deliverance tour' and hit 13 states (almost 3,000 miles) in 7.5 days. We had not a single reservation or route planned other than hitting up the dragon and moonshiner 28. We ended up in illinois at one point. We saw graceland...

Last summer we left from NYC after a 4 day 911 ride and headed north up into Canada. We took an overnight ferry from Nova Scotia over to Newfoundland. Again, not a single reservation or route in mind. Next summer is the cross country tour from Ocean City to San Fran 99% of it traveling along rt 50, hitting up old route 66 on the way back.

What rallies or events do you like to attend?
After doing OC / Myrtle...I decided rally's just aren't my thing...there is only so much posing and leather you can stand.

Is there someone who rides "two-up" with you?
I removed the passenger seats and footpegs from my bike before I brought it home...there will NEVER be a dude on the back of my bike...if he doesn't have his own, i guess he's not riding.

Off the cuff from...35 Bucks
I'm always up for riding and prefer NOT to put my boots on for anything less than 200 miles a day. I am addicted to adventure and my bikes just keep giving them to me. I'll keep going until the gas light comes on or my butt goes numb. I'm happy to have had the opportunity to meet some of you with the SCRC (but not chad! j/k) and look forward to meeting more of you...I still haven't heard if I passed my riding test or not!
