How did you hear about the SCRC and when did you join?
AJ and Chad.

How long have you been riding?
Since 2005.

Have you ever taken a motorcycle safety course?
Of course, cuz I had no idea how to ride a motorcycle!

What was your first bike?
2005 Honda Rebel 250.

How many bikes have you owned?
3 (2005 Honda Rebel 250; 2006 Honda Shadow Aero 750; 2010 Honda Sabre 1300) I'm a Honda girl! I'd rather ride my Honda than push your Harley! Oops, gonna get called on the carpet for that sticker for sure.... :(

Why do you ride?
To feel free and relax my mind. It is very relaxing to ride my motorcycle, it makes me a happy girl!

Have you ridden with an organized group before?
Nope, not til I met the SCRC cuz I don't like to ride with people who bar hop... that isn't riding!

What modifications have you done to your bike?
Luggage rack, sissy bar, windshield, floor boards, and pipes.

What accessories do you want to add to your bike?
None right now...

What is your dream bike?
The one I have right now.... until I decide I want a new one... :)

What kind of riding do you like to do — straight-aways or twisties?
Any kind of riding is perfect!

If you have a nickname, how did you get it? Tell the truth!
I don't really have a nickname but I am sure other people have different names for me! It's all good! AJ says I am grandma because I drive slow and get lost EASILY!!!

What is your favorite riding route?
Any route where someone else is leading because I have no sense of direction and get lost EASILY!!!

Do you ride your bike to work?
No, I have too much junk to carry with me each day...

What is the fastest you’ve ridden?
I do the speed limit or a very little over it...hence my nickname of Grandma!

What is your favorite time of year to ride?
Summer, nearly nekked riding is fun!

Have you ever been down? If so, how were you hurt and what did you learn from the incident?
Yes, I had big issues with curves.... but I have finally learned how to take a curve and not PANIC! I was very fortunate and was not injured badly. A bruise on my chin from the handlebar and a broken nail.. I went on to ride another 100 miles to be sure that I would not give up riding... it was more scary to tell my mom how I got the bruise on my chin than it was to go down in the curve. I was also very fortunate that a family came along and the man helped me get the bike out of the ditch and started again.

Have you ever done an "Iron Butt" ride?
Yes, this year! It was great til we ran into a torrential downpour... we finished with less than 10 minutes to spare!

If not, what is the furthest you’ve ridden?
We have done 2 adventure trips, the first was 2300+ miles in 7 days and the second was 5000+ miles in 14 days!

What was the worst weather in which you’ve ridden?
Hurricane Irene winds in Canada along the coast for 437 miles...

Do you know how to work on your bike?
No idea at all...that is why I have prepaid service!! Loudoun Motorsports takes very good care of my bike!

What is your favorite road song?
I am not coordinated enough to listen to music while I ride, I have to focus completely on where I am going or I get lost! Well sometimes I still get lost anyway.

What was your most adventurous ride?
2011 after the America's 911 Ride. AJ and I took off for Canada and had an amazing trip and got to see icebergs.

What rallies or events do you like to attend?
None so far, I don't like large groups of people that I don't know. I am actually very shy.

Is there someone who rides "two-up" with you?
Nope

Off the cuff from...Tammy
I decided to get my motorcycle license after riding bitch (ouch my butt hurt) with a very dear friend in Lee County, Virginia over to visit my cousin in Kentucky and realized that you see so much more on a motorcycle! Then I came home and found my father's American Motorcycle Association card and pictures of him and my uncle on their matching 1954 Harley Davidsons...I knew it was in my blood and that I needed to do this. I have not looked back since. Plus when I turned 40 I completely lost my mind and haven't found it yet but the journey while lookingfor it has improved tremendously!
