Safety Tip from Throttle - Inspect your scoot before you ride

Return to tip of the week

Anyone that took the MSF Basic Rider Course safety class is aware of T-CLOCS. If you don't remember this acronym, or hadn't learned it before it is a good idea to perform a minimal inspection before hitting the road. Before you get on your ride to leave take a quick walk around your bike for a “pre-flight” inspection.

  • Tires – Check for low looking tires or balding tread
  • Puddles – Check to see if there are any oil or water puddles under your bike. This can be indicators of a fluid leak.
  • Lights – Check that the headlights and tail lights work
